Sunshine, Smiles, and Soaked Staff at May Playscheme!

Remark! Community’s North and South London Playschemes have been buzzing with excitement, creativity, and unforgettable memories as children and youth groups enjoyed an action-packed week of sun-filled adventures and hands-on activities.

At Deaf-SELF South Playscheme, the children’s group had a week full of vibrant outings — from soaring through the air in aerial hooping classes to creating their own comic books with a professional artist. The fun continued with a sunny trip to Battersea Park Zoo. Meanwhile, the youth group explored their talents in professional photography, tested their skills at bouldering, and cooked up delicious dishes in a special cookery workshop.

Over at the North Playscheme, the fun didn’t stop either. Children enjoyed a cinema trip to watch Lilo and Stitch, complete with popcorn, drinks, and plenty of laughter. Water fights added to the summer vibes, with staff and volunteers joining in and getting drenched alongside the children. For the youth group, high-octane activities like go-karting and laser tag brought thrills and cheers all around.

We have 4 weeks of activities coming up in the summer holidays. If you have a Deaf child between the ages of 6 and 16 make sure you keep an eye out for what we have planned. Please make sure you book early to avoid disappointment!
